“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
― Confucius

Simple solutions and simple pleasures – that’s what I believe life is all about. Whatever your problem – a relationship issue, a health problem, lack of a fulfilling career…more often than not, the solution will be simpler than you could imagine!

I am a freelance writer (just for fun) and musician (when I have the time to play!) (and aspiring subeditor!) and I care passionately about environmental issues. I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a BMUS (hons) degree in music. I also hold qualifications in life coaching, stress management, hypnotherapy and counselling and psychotherapy. We all want to be happy and successful. As we live our lives, I often feel we are constantly racing towards some kind of distant finish line where we will hopefully find everything we need-peace, happiness and contentment. These things are available and free to us now if we take the time to enjoy the moment.

If life is a constant battle to find the success we are looking for, we will end up missing out on the beauty of the journey. That journey is to be found in simplicity.

I enjoy writing about whatever amuses me or if any funny thoughts come to mind, I want to share them with you! Life being so curiously strange with all its wonderful ups and downs, I am forever amazed at how much we are still yet to discover about it. The beauty and fun of life is here for us right now and can be found in the simple pleasures. If we are grateful for what we have, true happiness and contentment are sure to follow. This is the joy of being alive and we don’t want to miss it!
